The Précieuse is a divine weapon given to Jeanne d'Arc by Michael.

History[]

The archangel Michael gave the Précieuse to Jeanne as a reward for her service in defending the royal castle against a demon invasion. Jeanne was to use this sword to cut down demons and enemies of the gods, replacing her previous weapon the Maltet. However, Charioce XIII became envious that Jeanne was the one to receive such a blessing and not him. Driven further into paranoia by Martinet, Charioce XIII ordered for Jeanna's execution.

As Jeanne was being burned at the stake, Martinet convinced her that the gods had abandoned her as they refused to come to her rescue. He offered Jeanne a chance to get her revenge and Jeanne agreed. The demon transformed Jeanne into another demon, allowing her to escape her execution and travel to Abos.

Using the Précieuse, Jeanne swiftly killed Raphael and Uriel. She also fatally stabbed Michael, right before Michael administrated the antidote to turn Jeanne back to normal. Michael died soon after, seemingly taking the sword with him.

Trivia[]

While the Maltet relied on Michael's power, the Précieuse relied on its own capabilities.
Both the Matelt and Précieuse could be summoned to Jeanne's hand from any distance.
The Précieuse shared its name with the mythological sword Précieuse, wielded by Baligant, the Saracen king in the French epic The Song of Roland.
Précieuse means "precious" in French.
